Selvage: the narrow white woven edge of denim. The big three trational jeans makers Levi's (red), Lee(white or green) and Wrangler( gold) used these coloured s to identify the mills custom fabrics.

saint james project

Its so funny i have not opened up a fresh saint james tee in a very long time the arouma is still the same,it reminds me of home this scent is one of a kind maybe some of you may know what im talking about
its like shopping on the docks at Red Hook habour virgin islands ahhh
well this is a wonderful project i started im working with some left over 8 oz red selvage broken twill denim. the same one i used on the denim trousers, i took some scrap denim and added a patch to it making it kinda cool.

so about a week ago i read about "nacked and famous" new heavy weight oz they have surpassed iron hearts 21 oz i need to see them like yesterday

some pics of my finished product made with red selvage broken twill 8 oz denim almost like a salt and pepper look to it i do like it i kinda over did the selvage look also too a mr feedom style of ankle type pockets seen in his riders dungarees and the earlier foul weather kahki trousers. seem to have had a prob loading pics, i will have them up in the morrow have a good nigt all

found some left-hand twill 16 oz blu selvage denim taditionally this was on Lee jeans its much softer than the broken twill that wrangler normally carries . Back in the old days Wranglers carried a Gold selvage colour like the older JC penny denim . Its a bit heavy in this hot weather but i must say its amazing to actually wear them.
